CDI organized two- days training workshop in the period from 27 to 28.03.2012 in hotel VIP in Skopje in the frames of the project for support to the municipal Commitees for inter- community relations (CICR) from ethnic mixed municipalities which are not obliged to establish CICR supported by the Norwegian Government through Royal Norwegian Embassy in Republic of Macedonia. CICR members from seventeen (17) municipalities were invited to participate at the workshop in order their capacities to be strenghtened and to address the challenges that these committees are facing on local level.

Community Development Institute (CDI) within the annual programme supported by CIVICA Mobilitas, during the year of 2011 developed and published the Manual for volunteers.
The purpose of this manual is to facilitate the way towards voluntarism for both today’s and also future volunteers, and to show the organizers of the volunteering activity the role of volunteering, the contents of the Law on volunteers and to provide answers to the most frequently asked questions about the ongoing implementation of the Law which will contribute for stimulating and recognizing the importance of voluntarism in Macedonia...

In the period from January to April 2012 Association Community Development Institute (CDI) is implementing the project BONA MENTE 6: Support to municipal Committees for Inter- community relations (CICR) in ethnic mixed municipalities which are not obliged to establish CICR but still have established on voluntary basis. The project is financially supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Republic of Macedonia and is implemented in seventeen (17) municipalities not compelled by the law to establish CICR.

 Let's do it Macedonia! is a civil society movement of taking stewardship of the place we call home - our regions, our country, our world. The idea for this action starts from "Let's Do It!" - civic initiative which has started in 2008 in Estonia, when 50,000 people went out and collected 10,000 tons of waste in five hours, cleaning all teritory of the country. Since then, the model of one-day cleaning is implemented in more countries in the world, with excellent results and huge percentage of civic participation.
One of the founding organisations that started this movement in Macedonia is the Community Development Institute. The goal of this action is mapping and cleaning up the illegal waste littering our countryside. This global action will take place in more than 100 countries around the world in 2012.
